What can I do with the free self-hosted version?
Everything. There are no feature gates. Run unlimited sequences, use all block types, scale as far as your hardware allows. The only restriction is you cannot offer Orch8 as a hosted service to third parties.
When do I need a commercial license?
If you want to embed Orch8 inside your own SaaS product and offer it to your customers, or if you want to run a managed Orch8 service. Internal production use is always free.
What does the BUSL-1.1 license allow?
Production use for your own applications, modifications, self-hosting for your team or company. The only restriction is offering Orch8 as a competitive hosted/embedded service. The license converts to Apache 2.0 after 4 years.
Can I use Orch8 in my startup?
Yes, completely free. Self-host it, use it in production, build your product on top of it. You only need a commercial license if you're reselling Orch8 itself as a service.
What happens if I outgrow self-hosting?
